EC11 - IECA18 March 2010 – The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) is calling for submittals for Environmental Connection 2011 (EC11), annual conference and expo of IECA. Combining quality education with a world-class expo, EC11 is the premier gathering place for the erosion and sediment control community, drawing attendees from over 20 countries and 150 exhibitors to Orlando, Florida, 20-23 February 2011.

The deadline to submit an abstract for the conference’s consideration is 20 May 2010.

WHO SHOULD SUBMIT?

Training is the cornerstone of Environmental Connection. This year, EC11’s focus is “Environmental Heroes” and IECA is calling all champions of the environment to participate in the world’s largest soil and water event by submitting an abstract. Suggested topics range from post-construction stormwater BMP’s to Low-Impact Development (LID), but any erosion and sediment control related topics are welcome.

Professionals involved with Erosion and Sediment Control and related issues are encouraged to submit an abstract.

  • Contractors: Demonstrate effective approaches of installation, equipment, innovations and business management.
  • Design Professionals: Describe new approaches to design challenges, present case studies on difficult projects or explain the latest design tools.
  • Government Personnel: Provide information on regulatory policy or demonstrate the economic and environmental benefits of your programs.
  • Researchers/inventors: Present the data that advances new technology, explores new concepts and challenges traditional approaches.
  • Manufacturers: Describe the latest advancements in product technology and applications.

What Types of Presentations are Available?

IECA offers its conference attendees three(3) major types of classroom experiences:

  • Full-Day Courses consist of 8 hours of classroom instruction
  • Half-Day Courses consist of 4 hours of classroom instruction
  • One Hour Presentations consist of classroom presentations with Q & A
