24 June 2010 – Drenotex geotextiles from Freudenberg Politex are not new on the Russian market. What is new at the facility in Nizhniy Novgorod Region is the additional capacity of over 3,000 tons of nonwovens for geotextiles applications which will be available from July 2010.
The line installed in Zavolzhie will produce staple fiber polyester nonwovens in a range from 100 g/smq to 800 g/sqm, 6 m width, able to satisfy the different requirements of civil and hydraulic engineering, such as reinforcement of roads, anti-contamination layer of landfill sites, drainage of the ground or in railway networks.
The workforce of Freudenberg Politex in Russia has been increased with 10 additional people, who are now receiving training in production and safety.
With the aim to anticipate the needs of markets and customers with innovative materials and technologies, together with the geotextiles Freudenberg Politex has recently launched in Russia also a complete range of geogrids and composite materials for drainage and construction works, roads and railways.
As it was planned since the beginning of the Russia Project, the company in Nizhniy Novgorod is growing and the presence of the Group in the Russian market is gaining more and more strength. The market leadership gained thanks to the Texbond and Terbond reinforcements for bituminous roofing membranes opened the doors to the other segments of the construction market.
