29 March 2011 – The Second Pan-American Geosynthetics Conference and Exhibition (GeoAmericas 2012) will provide a forum for geosynthetics engineers, practitioners and academe to explore current and potential applications for geosynthetics, while offering an active marketplace for the promotion of geosynthetic products and technology to users throughout the Americas. The event will be held 2-5 May 2012. Abstracts are currently being sought.
Organized by IGS Peru and under the auspices of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), the GeoAmericas program will open with a day of full-day short courses followed by three days of technical sessions and an exhibition of suppliers of geosynthetics.
We invite you to participate by contributing papers to be presented in Technical Sessions.
The abstracts must be related to any of the technical sessions, these technical sessions are:
- Environmental
- Pavements
- Mining
- Hydraulics & Erosion Control
The content of the abstracts must not have more than 300 words. You can find the characteristics of the format for the abstracts at the web site:

- 31 May 2011: Deadline for submission of abstracts
- 31 July 2011: Deadline for abstract acceptance
- 31 October 2011: Deadline for submission of final papers
- 31 January 2012: Deadline for review and acceptance of final works
