AGRU America continues its series of geosynthetic engineering webinars on November 16 at 12:00 EST. This new geomembranes and geosynthetic cover and containment systems webinar will address a range of topics. Engineer Nick Rauh will lead the session and foster discussion on multiple geosynthetic solutions and the various factors that influence performance and improve project economics and efficiencies.
For example, AGRU will discuss the flat-die manufacturing process of geomembranes and the characteristics and performance it can deliver in containment systems versus blown film manufacturing techniques.

CONTAINMENT SYSTEMS WEBINAR
Other major points of focus in the November 16 containment systems webinar include:
- Quality control standards, accreditations, and testing
- How multiple geosynthetic products can be combined to create a cost-effective Integrated Drainage System
- ClosureTurf® final cover systems (manufactured in partnership with Watershed Geo)
- Concrete protection liners, geonets, geocomposites, geosynthetic clay liners, and large-diameter pipes and affiliated fittings
The 60-minute session will also offer 20 minutes of live Q&A.

“Thanks to their unique properties and long service life, geosynthetics have proliferated in the construction business across environmental and civil applications to encompass nearly every type of project, from landfill closures to municipal water supply,” AGRU writes in its webinar promotion. “Despite their ubiquity, geosynthetics differ greatly in strength, flexibility, and overall composition depending on its manufacturing process. They can be hardened and made into large-diameter pipes, or even spread into sheets with built-in studs to facilitate the flow of fluids. Some differences are by choice, designed to meet the needs of a specific application. Other differences are economical, meant to save money on the assembly line.”
