The GWMS launched in 2008 as the premier solid waste technology event showcasing emerging trends in waste disposal and initiatives to reduce greenhouses gas emissions (GHG) as well as other topics focusing on solid waste management and its effects on climate change. The inaugural GWMS event attracted leading experts, both nationally and internationally, from government agencies, waste services companies, consultants, vendors/suppliers, researchers, leading trade organizations, and scientific foundations.
The 2010 GWMS will once again serve as a forum for applied and fundamental research and case studies on waste management, including oral and poster presentations, as well as networking events to provide opportunities for technical interaction and discussion among national and international participants.
