Boyd Ramsey has relocated to Suzhou, China, where GSE has a new manufacturing plant and a growing Asia-Pacific market.

The addition of carbon black-industry veteran Mark Leigh to GSE Environmental’s leadership in the Americas has garnered a lot of headlines; but another move within GSE is also worth noting. Boyd Ramsey, Chief Engineer of GSE North America, has accepted the position of Technical Director for APAC.
Ramsey’s new role involves relocation to Suzhou, China, where GSE operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that just opened a year ago.
The Chinese and larger Asia-Pacific market for geosynthetics is enormous. Ramsey will lead and manage the affiliated technical team and foster relationships with engineers, regulators, government agencies, and other stakeholders who are influencing the growth of geosynthetics in the Asia-Pacific region.
Ramsey brings nearly 20 years of experience with GSE to this new role. He also has given a significant amount of time to industry associations, such as the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) and the Geosynthetic Materials Association (GMA), the latter of which he served as Chairman of the Executive Council during a period of highly successful government relations.
