Geomembrane Technologies Inc. (GTI) is pleased to have been contracted to provide a customized gas collection cover system for a major Brazilian dairy group in the state of Goias. GTI looks forward to applying its extensive experience as part of a large wastewater treatment upgrade at this dairy plant.GTI’s participation in the project includes the design, fabrication, and installation of the gas collection cover, as well as a liner system and process piping for an anaerobic digester.The cover system will be fabricated in Brazil using locally sourced materials and labor—a first for GTI and a key step in GTI’s expansion of operations in South America.
The cover system is designed to capture biogas from the anaerobic treatment process, which will be used in the plant’s boiler for fuel savings. The cover will also help control odor and provide thermal protection for the anaerobic reactor’s contents.
