A brief history of CTM Geosynthetics – The late Shri Lajpatrai Chatarbhuj Agarwal belonged to Bawanikhera, situated in the State of Haryana. He was one among the few entrepreneurs who dared to take the challenge of leaving his village to set the entrepreneurship at the Textile City, Ahmedabad in the year 1948. After having worked at various places like Aligarh, Nepal, Lucknow, Assam and Shri Ganganagar, he eventually settled at Ahmedabad in 1948 from where the business set to a trigger.
With the experience of building strong network in Cloth markets of various cities, he started the business of cloth trading with a rented office and started supplying to several customers all over India. He started his firm, which grew year after year and branched out to Mumbai, called Bombay then, in 1960.
Trading activities were destined to grow into manufacturing and they did. 1970 saw the purchase of a closed processing house now known as CTM Textile Mills in the city of Ahmedabad.
