International Geosynthetics Society, IGS AwardsBy Fumio Tatsuoka – The International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) will grant IGS Awards in 2014 to individuals or groups of individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the development and use of geotextiles, geomembranes, related products, or associated technologies through their scientific and technological achievements.
For example an award can be given for design and construction of a structure; publication of a technical document (paper, book, article, manual); completion of a research program; development of new products and techniques.
Nominations must be received by the IGS Secretary – Ms. Elizabeth Peggs no later than 18 February 2014.
The deadline for receipt of award candidate presentation packages is 31 March 2014.

IGS AWARDS

  • The Young IGS Member Achievement Award
    This Award is for IGS Members who are less than 36 years of age on 31 December 2013.
