As June opened, we learned that field veteran Tony Ung had passed away in mid-May. Ung had made a strong mark in geosynthetics installation quality across nearly 25 years. For the past two years, he had served as a supervisor with ESI (Environmental Specialties International, Inc.).
The company shared a post about Tony Ung on its website. as well as a link to a GoFundMe page in support his family.
Tony Ung came to the United States from Cambodia. His wife, Suwannee, was from Thailand. Together they raised two children, one of whom is now in college and one of whom is 12. He was renowned for hard work and a happy demeanor.
He will be missed by family, friends, and his professional colleagues. Geosynthetica extends its sympathies to his wife and children.
