The Kennewick Irrigation District (KID) in Washington state is dealing with a breach in a 16-inch buried steel line, disrupting service to about 5,000 customers. The steel has corroded and the outer concrete casing has cracked. About 400 feet of pipe will be exposed and flexible PVC liner installed.
