Casper, Wyoming is debating a new regional landfill. A standard comment period has been opened by the state’s Department of Environmental Quality. Cost concerns abound, of course, particularly in a state that is in need of landfill modernization. The Casper facility aims to consolidate much of the state’s waste in cells with modern linings and leachate collection layers. Comments are welcomed through August 4.
