CQA Week Events, 25 - 29 April 2016 in Austin, Texas CQA Week - Leak Location, Geosynthetics InstallationConstruction Quality Assurance (CQA) Week returns to Austin, Texas 6 – 9 December 2016. This time around, the multi-day geosynthetics professional development includes a half-day primer on electrical leak location (ELL) technologies.
The shorter, significantly discounted primer offers a welcomed option to focus only on geosynthetic lining system leak location methods and how to properly specify them. Previous CQA Weeks have generally combined full-day classroom and full-day field training. Not all specifiers of this important CQA tool are going to actively perform surveys, though. With a half-day primer on electrical leak location–also known as Liner Integrity Survey/Assessments (LISA)–these professionals get the training they seek in a highly efficient classroom format.
It also enables the participants of the primer course to take another CQA course or two on succeeding days. Where previously participation in all three sessions required a four-day committment, the December CQA Week allows attendees to do the same in just 2.5 days.
The week concludes with an opportunity for participants to seek certification through the independent Geosynthetic Certification Institute – Inspectors Certification Program (GCI – ICP) exam.

LIS equipment, rooted in geophysical measurement techniques, tests exposed and soil or water-covered geomembranes. TRI’s training course disseminates the theoretical and practical knowledge required to employ and specify the quality of LIS methods and equipment.

This course may be taken singly or paired with the December 8 course. The December 7 session focuses on installation of geomembranes, geotextiles, geocomposites, geogrids, and geo-appurtenances. It includes demonstrations of geomembrane seaming and seam peel and shear testing.

December 8
Construction QA/QC for Compacted Clay Liner & Geosynthetic Clay Liner Installation
8:00 am – 6:00 pm
