Though bringing together two of the world’s largest geosynthetics producers is an enormous task, Solmax-GSE is continuing its rapid evolution with a key announcement: Peter McCourt has joined the executive team and has been named the company’s Global Head of Sales.

Peter McCourt has joined the Solmax-GSE executive team as Global Head of Sales.

In a release, Solmax-GSE noted that the appointment is “an important move towards fulfilling the company’s vision of reshaping the fast-growing geosynthetics industry.”
McCourt has held several senior leadership positions with GSE since 2010. Prior to Solmax’s acquisition of GSE, McCourt was based in Bangkok as the Regional President of the Asia Pacific region (APAC). He then took up a lead role with global sales and marketing out of Houston, where GSE’s international headquarters was based and where Solmax also has a major facility.
McCourt brings significant international business experience to his role, having lived in Europe, Asia and North America during his career. In his new role, he will return to his hometown of Ardrossan, Scotland and travel globally from there.
