KG, international manufacturers of high-quality geosynthetics such as Secugrid® geogrids and Bentofix® geosynthetic clay liners, invites engineers, contractors, regulators and other professionals involved with geosynthetics to take a break–and take on NAUE’s Gridator. Introducing: GoalGrid.
GoalGrid is a free game available online (www.naue.com), and it comes just in time for the world’s biggest single sport event: the FIFA football World Cup 2010 in South Africa. Players aim their football shots and try to score goals against the gridator with the use of a mouse or computer touch pad. With a careful use of the left button, the appropriate force can be applied to the shot. As targets are struck within the goal, points are awarded for accuracy… so long as you avoid Gridator’s goaltending. As with the last two welcomed games 4-for-Secugrid and BallGrid, GoalGrid is fun and easy to use.
No software needs to be downloaded to play GoalGrid. And in the true international spirit of competition, registered users of the game may compete for a spot in the Top 100 and try for a win of several prizes.
The "grid" of GoalGrid is inspired by the excellent stress/strain characteristics and strength transfer in the geogrid bars of NAUE’s Secugrid® series. Secugrid®, with its patented flat-bar construction, provides what is the goal of reinforcement designs: high strength and a high modulus at low elongations (less than 2%). This results in quicker but safe installation; better roads; stronger walls (including veneer stability); outstanding durability and long-term performance; green engineering advantages; and much more.
