In its 2017 year-end newsletter, Titan Environmental hinted at some positive changes coming to the company. More details are emerging, and they include an announcement of new ownership.

Company co-founders Brett Burkard and Kelly Sitarz are still involved, certainly; but they have now welcomed the addition of Juice Lambert (VP of Sales) and Derek Bishop (Chief Financial Officer) to Titan’s ownership group.

New Ownership Participants for Titan Environmental, January 2017

“Juice has been part of our Senior Management team for the last seve years, and Derek for two years now,” Burkard said in a release. “Both bring different strengths to our team and have played significant roles in our company’s growth and on-going success.”

Lambert and Bishop will not be the only ones taking shares in the company. Titan has also been working towards rolling out an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The number of people joining as part of the new ownership will certainly expand.

ESOP provides a vehicle for employees to acquire small stakes of company stock and share in its growth. It was a natural fit for Titan’s company culture, which has enjoyed considerable stability of staff over the past decade.

“We are continually striving to remain vibrant and create the kind of company where people want to work,” says Burkard.

He sees ESOP as another way to link the goals of the company with the goals of its employees for continual growth and success.

SCALES JOINS TITAN USA

Titan USA moved its main office to Houston in 2017 to take full advantage of a geomembrane fabrication facility. The operation is being managed by industry veteran Tonya Switalski, who brings more than 25 years experience and is deeply connected in the Western & Central U.S. Another veteran of the field, Greg Scales, has just joined Titan USA here in 2018. Scales is focused on managing sales for the company in the US Eastern Region. Scales, a technical expert, can be reached at +1 828 551 0795 or greg.scales@titanenviro.com.

“The launch of our fabrication plant in Houston brings new opportunities for our U.S. operation,” Burkard said. “We saw an opportunity to diversify and fill a market need and went for it. Staffing was a critical piece of the puzzle with this new venture and we are happy to have recruited a solid team with the knowledge and strength to position us for success.”
