On Record Pace

The curiously named Flathead County Landfill has seen double-digit increases in annual waste disposal…though 2006 proved to be a mild year by recent standards. It saw only a 7.5 percent increase in collected waste. The rate is taxing disposal capacity and making some wonder whether the 400,000 square foot, lined expansion from two years ago was enough.
