Preserving Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay, Ontario has experienced erosion from flooding for years. Now, with estimates of up to 50 feet of erosion striking some beaches that are only 66 feet wide, and with homeowners stricken by oft-flooded basements, the city is installing a large drainage scheme that ultimately comes down to clean stone wrapped in geotextile. A well-tested approached is applied on a larger scale.
