Randy Massingill is now a member of ProTech Environmental Supply, a division of L & M Supply. Randy was first introduced to the erosion and sediment control industry by C. Joel Sprague of TRI Environmental, where together they built and ran a large-scale erosion and control materials and systems testing and research facility. There, he accrued a hands on knowledge of the installation and performance of multiple erosion control devices.
After almost four years with TRI, Randy became a manufacturing representative, a role in which he traveled around the country servicing distributorship while becoming a specialist doing demonstrations of products for companies seeking new erosion devices. He led training, educating crews the importance of proper installation, while emphasizing the understanding of erosion and sediment BMPs.
Now Randy has joined forces with ProTech Environmental Supply, which is a division of L & M Supply, owned and operated by Quincy and Quentin McMillan. ProTech has been in operation since the mid 1980s and is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. ProTech represents more than 200 different types of devices that are used in the erosion industry and ships product throughout the east coast. Bryan Grogan is the manager of the Charlotte location and with his 10+ years in the industry and with the addition of Randy’s knowledge and experience, ProTech will continue to grow their share of the market in the southeast.
