Raven IndustriesSioux Falls, SD – Raven Industries Engineered Films Division announces Dura-Skrim® Textured K-Series; a new geomembrane product line specifically engineered for the geosynthetic industry. Dura-Skrim Textured K-Series is a unique textured reinforced geomembrane available in polyethylene or flexible polypropylene and is the first of this type in the industry. Dura-Skrim Textured K-Series is manufactured utilizing a cast extrusion process to achieve a consistent core thickness with uniform asperity heights. Raven’s exclusive GeoGrip™ surface technology consists of a durable random spike pattern with bidirectional bars to provide uniform stabilization and an increased friction between various soil and geosynthetic layers allowing for steeper slope designs. Dura-Skrim Textured K-Series is designed for applications requiring exceptional slope stability such as landfill caps, mining leach pads and containment ponds to name a few.

Dura-Skrim Textured K-Series combines the exceptional performance characteristics of our smooth K-Series membranes with our innovative GeoGrip™ surface texture to bring the industry a highly versatile geomembrane,” notes Jim Groninger, Vice President and General Manger for the Raven Engineered Films Division. Jim continues, “We had consistently received requests for a textured reinforced membrane and engineered our product around this customer feedback to develop our new product line.”

The new Dura-Skrim Textured K-Series will be highlighted at this year’s Geo-Frontiers 2011 Conference in Dallas, TX at Raven Engineered Films booth #902. Dura-Skrim Textured K-Series is currently available in single or double-side textured 36 mil (K36BT) and 45 mil (K45BT) thicknesses and is sold in a variety of widths and lengths to meet project requirements. Large diameter mill rolls are available as well as large factory welded one-piece drop in panels for efficient installations.
