Global Waste Management Symposium16 April 2010 – The Global Waste Management Symposium (GWMS) is an international forum for the peer-reviewed presentation of both applied and fundamental research and case studies on solid waste management, policy, and regulation and includes networking opportunities for technical interaction and discussion among all participants. The GWMS is a biennial event that was launched in 2008 and attended by over 500 participants from 26 countries.

GWMS 2010 will be held 3-6 October 2010 in San Antonio, Texas.

The GWMS 2010 Technical Committee is led by Bryan Staley, Vice President of Environmental Programs at the Environmental Research and Education Foundation (EREF), Morton Barlaz, Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University, and Craig Benson, Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin. They and the other Technical Committee participants perform peer review of submissions to the Global Waste Management Symposium, and ensure that the presentations are on topic and scientifically valid. The GWMS 2010 Business Committee is chaired by longtime industry expert, Steven D. Menoff. He and the other Business Committee members provide invaluable guidance to ensure the success of the symposium.
