We have a few deadlines to remind you of this week:
Early Bird Rate: Waterproof Membranes 2009
While the abstract submission date for Waterproof Membranes 2009 has passed, there is still time to lock in the best registration rate for this year’s event. Jenny Skinner (seen on left of this photo from last year’s event) reports that Applied Market Information (AMI), the event organizer, is offering an early bird registration rate of EUR790 (Note: 19% German VAT is added) through 24 April 2009. This represents a very significant 20% savings on the full registration price.
This year’s installment of Waterproof Membranes marks its third international conference. It will take place 19-21 October 2009 at the Swissôtel Düsseldorf/Neuss in Düsseldorf, Germany.
For inquiries about attending the event, please contact Jenny Skinner, conference organizer (js@amiplastics.com), at AMI.
Abstracts Welcomed: ASBPA
The American Shore & Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) will convene its 2009 conference in St. Pete’s Beach, Florida in October. But despite the close proximity of the event, abstracts are accepted through 8 May 2009 for oral presentations, papers, and panel discussion topics and presenters.
The conference theme is “Integrating Coastal Science & Policy.” Global, federal, state and local policy approaches will be discussed, as will shoreline processes & coastal management techniques.
Geosynthetic professionals may be interested in proposing geotextile tube case studies and application techniques to the event.
