Saving City Sewers

In the greater Sudbury, Ontario area, runoff and stormwater inflows from residential neighborhoods cost the wastewater and sewage processing facilities close to $1 million per year. But residents are starting to install porous paving stones, including one locally manufactured system that uses a hydro-carbon filtering geotextile imported from the United Kingdom.
