7 December 2009 – Tobolsk-Polymer LCC and the Italian company Tecnimont S.p.A. have concluded an Engineering Procurement and Construction Contract (EPC-contract) for a propane dehydration unit with the capacity of 510 thousand tons of propylene per year in Tobolsk.
Earlier, Tecnimont S.p.A. executed a FEED contract for development of front end engineering design and supply of long lead equipment. In the near future, Tecnimont S.p.A. will start pile works at the construction site. It is scheduled to deliver the main part of the large-sized equipment to Tobolsk in 2010 – 2011.
The total contract value makes about 650 million Euro.
At the following stage, Tobolsk-Polymer will select the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the polypropylene plant.
