Solarmax Arizona has an experimental installation of their solar photovoltaic geomembrane strips on slopes at Biosphere II. The company has proposed placing their system on tailings piles as part of reclamation activities. The panels are impermeable, preventing erosion, while producing electricity. Solid panels are bonded to geomembrane.
