Solmax Names Jean-Louis Vangeluwe New CEO

International geosynthetics manufacturer Solmax has announced the appointment of company veteran Mr. Jean-Louis Vangeluwe as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Vangeluwe has spent nearly two full decades with the company. He will serve as CEO for Solmax International (headquartered in Montreal, Québec, Canada) and Solmax International Asia-Pacific (headquartered in Malaysia).
Mr. Vangeluwe, MBA, brings a great deal of leadership and international, business development experience to his new role. He most recently served as Executive Vice President of the same two subsidiaries which he now heads up. Prior to that, he held international sales and business development roles in Europe, Russia, Asia, South America and the Middle East.
For much of the last decade, he served as General Manager and focused on strengthening Solmax’s profitability and growth. That work involved leading the launch of three new products and securing two key patents. He has also worked closely with the customer base in applying field feedback to the innovation process.
