Solmax would like to take this opportunity to highlight the importance for the governments in Africa to adopt more environmental regulations enforcing the use of geomembranes in the mining sector. The use of geomembranes in mining applications greatly reduce the risk of costly remediation works. Mining operations are often carried out in regions that are not only hard to reach, but whose ecosystems are fragile. Solmax produces geomembranes adapted to specific conditions, taking into account the characteristics of a given natural environment as well as the needs of major mining companies.
Solmax was chosen to receive the award as we have supplied geomembranes for some of the largest African mining projects. Some of our clients include AngloGold Ashanti, AREVA Resources, and GoldFields.
Solmax is proud to receive this award and looks forward to maintaining its status as one of the world;s greatest exporting companies to Africa and its booming market.
