In May 2010, TenCate Geosynthetics North America introduced TenCate Mirafi® RS580i, a highly engineered, high strength, geosynthetic product for base reinforcement and subgrade stabilization. Today, TenCate Geosynthetics introduces TenCate Mirafi® RS380i, a lighter RS-Series product that will enable designers to continue to provide more economical solutions for roadway reinforcement applications.
“We have had a tremendous amount of interest and use from engineers with TenCate Mirafi® RS580i, so we felt it was important to provide a second option for less severe applications,” says Todd Anderson, Vice-President of Sales.
TenCate Mirafi® RS-Series products integrate the five main properties needed for successful performance in roadways: separation, reinforcement, confinement, filtration and product identification. The double layer construction provides excellent filtration and drainage, while also providing a high level of separation and high strength at low strains. In addition, the unique orange color pattern distinguishes TenCate Mirafi® RS Series geosynthetics from standard black geotextiles.
