Tencate Geosynthetics19 May 2009 – TenCate™ Geosynthetics has designed a brochure focusing on high performance geotextiles for haul roads. These include Mirafi® HP-Series woven geotextiles, comprised of high tenacity polypropylene yarns.

One of the primary uses of geosynthetics has been and remains the stabilization of subgrades for haul roads. Almost every construction project has a need for a geosynthetically-stabilized aggregate, from access roads to construction entrance roads, to staging areas, and to working platforms.

Often, these projects are routine and not high priority, utilizing sites that are often poor quality. The economical design of haul roads and the stabilization of work areas can be a challenge to the engineer faced with soft subgrades and poor load-bearing soils. As part of our continued expansion of the Mirafi® Road Show, TenCate™ has introduced this new brochure as a companion piece to our PowerPoint presentation specific to aggregate road systems.

The brochure can be viewed and downloaded at www.mirafi.com, in the technical information section and, when used in conjunction with our online “Quick Spec Guide,” will assist in specifying an appropriate geosynthetic for haul roads. The brochure is also available on our online ordering form.

TenCate™ Geosynthetics North America develops and produces materials that increase performance, reduce costs and enable people to achieve what was once unachievable.
