TenCate Reports Strong Revenue

The Netherlands-headquartered TenCate reports that it exceed one billion Euros in revenue for 2008. An 11% growth in sales was announced for the fourth quarter. The global economic crisis did tighten sales, however; and part of the company’s successful numbers are the result of wise acquisitions and price management. The Geosynthetics & Grass sector, which has a significant input from the North American office, was bouyed by the synthetic turf market. With infrastructure becoming a major force in economic recovery discussions, the Geosynthetics division may continue to show strong numbers going forward internationally, though caution must certainly be shown. Forecasts will not be issued.
