17 November 2010 – Effective Monday, November 22, Tensar Corporation and its principal business unit Tensar International will consolidate their headquarters locations to operate more efficiently. The move, which takes the companies to the Northwinds development in Alpharetta, Georgia, ends more than a decade of separate locations within a business park in Atlanta’s Northern Perimeter area.
The 70 Atlanta-based employees of the two companies will move to Alpharetta’s Northwinds III, a Class A mid-rise office building. The development is strategically located near Georgia 400, a principal artery connecting Atlanta with its northern suburbs. The modern, well-equipped offices feature an improved working space that includes a large, dedicated training facility for staff as well as Tensar International’s business partners and clients. It will also allow for “more efficient communication and coordination between our parent company and Tensar International, a benefit we think will quickly transcend to our customers,” noted Robert Vevoda, Tensar International President and Managing Director.
The move is also expected to ease the commute for a large number of the companies’ employees, many of whom live in the northern Atlanta suburbs. New phone numbers for key departments will be posted to the company website.
