Hampole Quarry near Doncaster, United Kingdom, was once one of the country’s largest tire dumps. After a £1.8m remedation project, more than one-third of the tires have been removed and what remains has been leveled and capped with geosynthetics, shale and wild flowers. The Yorkshire Post reports.
