The Benton County Landfill in Blairstown, Iowa has been slowed in attempts to move into a new cell before winter. Sudden snow has threatened to derail essential excavation work ahead of the installation of a 200-foot by 400-foot geomembrane installation. The $250,000 project has been financed through a loan.
