14 October 2010 – After the 7-day China National Holiday, WestmoonInt (HK) Co., Ltd has resumed its normal work, providing overseas customers high-quality synthetic rubber from China-based CSM and neoprene rubber manufacturers and CR series rubbers.
WestmoonInt extends its apologies to customers for the temporary interruption in being able to serve the CR rubber series industries. The postponement was caused by a shortage of carbide. During 2010, China’s government has implemented measures to tackle the high energy consumption by manufacturers. This reduction in energy-intensive production plants includes carbide ones. Consequently, it directly impacted CR rubber production.
In September, our CR rubber series supplier, Chongqing ChangShou Chemical, nearly suspended its CR rubber series productivity due to the shortage of carbide. Fortunately, the CR rubber series from Changshou is still available, though the price of the CR rubber series has risen in line with the rising price of carbide.
CSM rubbers are also in short supply, due to huge overseas demand. Our CSM manufacturer is setting up to open a second production line to meet these demands. The new CSM line is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.
In order to solve customers purchasing problems, WestmoonInt’s team is negotiating with many Chinese rubber manufacturers, providing a one-stop rubber purchasing station for international clients. In the near future, all overseas customers will be able to purchase all rubber industry products, including raw natural rubber series, synthetic rubber series, rubber ingredients or accelerators, rubber finished articles, and downstream rubber products. EPDM, ACM and CM products will be available for overseas customers shortly.
WestmoonInt is eager to establish long-term business relationships with foreign rubber manufacturers, and we are especially interested in EPDM, for which there is huge demand in the Chinese market. Almost all EPDM rubber use in China is dependent upon importing.
